PM launches local business awards

Note to self - when you have your photo taken with someone famous it gets a lot of coverage! As a founding organiser of the West Oxfordshire Business Awards, Jo had her photo taken with Prime Minister David Cameron at the launch of the 2016 WOBAs.

The photo, which also includes Andrew Hammond of Oxford Products who won the overall West Oxfordshire Business of the Year Award in 2015, has been used extensively across social media as well as appearing in the local media.

As MP for Witney, Mr Cameron officially launched the 2016 WOBAs at an event attended by 150 guests. He addressed the audience and announced the 11 categories for 2016, commenting individually on each of the sponsors. He added, “We are very fortunate to have a diverse range of thriving local businesses and the WOBA provide an opportunity to showcase this and celebrate their fantastic achievements.”

We would encourage any West Oxfordshire business to enter the WOBAs. Entry forms can be downloaded from www.woba.org.uk and the deadline for entries is 30 November 2015.
