Why outsource your marketing?
Many SME’s outsource their accounts, HR and legal support. Why? Mostly it is because they are not qualified or experienced in those fields but it is also that they do not need a full time accountant, HR manager or lawyer working for them at that time.
The same can apply to marketing too and yet more SMEs do their own marketing in-house because after all, marketing is just common sense isn’t it? Well, no it’s not. Firms are happy to invest their marketing budget into websites that don’t produce results, into adverts that are not right for their target audiences, into direct mail campaigns that are not effective and into newsletters that fail to engage with the recipients. What’s more, there is no plan or strategy let alone any measurement of success.
If SMEs think about the amount they spend on marketing, then it seems only right to use an outsourced resource to help them spend it wisely to help them to achieve their overall goals.
OK, so you don’t want a full time Marketing Manager, but maybe having an external support for your more junior Marketing Coordinator would help. Maybe you as owner would like to spend less time marketing the business and more time running it. Maybe you need someone to help bring all your disparate marketing together and integrate it with a plan and strategy.
Marketing consultants like Marketing Sense can help and advise; guide and nurture; write strategy and content; plan and do; on a half a day a month to a day or more a week, meaning that you don’t have to employ a marketing expert to get more from your marketing buck.
